What’s going on? Little dap. It’s Jared
Montz former pro and founder of OnlineSoccerAcademy.com. Today we are learning how to come back from
a soccer injury. Description:
Soccer injuries are part of the game, it’s just the way it is. To start if you have an
injury recovery make sure you seek out a doctor or physical therapist and have a professional
give you advice on how to heal properly. Ask them for a rehabilitation plan. This video
is gear towards players that have been cleared by their doctors to start soccer injury prevention. Key Points: Tips on Soccer
1. Don’t rush back! If you have been out for 3 months you will not be as good as you
were prior to injuries from soccer. Get in the mindset that this is okay and over time
you will get back to your old self and better, it just takes time. 2. Build into your training; don’t re injure
yourself or injure another part of your body. Lots of players on their first day back will
train really hard for 3 hours to try and get back as fast as they can and end up re injuring
themselves. Your body isn’t use to training 3 hours and by over training you could re
injure yourself or pull a muscle that hasn’t been used in a while. 3. Don’t be frustrated! Your touch is going
to be off in the beginning. Work on juggling a lot and that will greatly improve your touch.
Small improvements daily equal big improvements over time. 4. Don’t be scared! It’s natural to be
scared of reinjuring yourself when you come back from an injury. If your doctor cleared
you then you are okay. You can’t control getting re injured. What you can control is
your mind and how it acts. Be confident. Watch our “How to be Confident” video by clicking
here. Exercise Player Can Do:
The idea is to create exercises that build injury recovery over time. So when you are
creating your training sessions start with a 30 minute session the first few days, then
45 minutes, then an hour, then an hour and a half. Keep building up as your fitness,
body and mind get back to full strength. You control your pace. What Player Could Be Doing Wrong:
If you are getting depressed and frustrated with your comeback you are in the wrong state
of mind. Even the top pros that have been out injured don’t come back at the top of
their game right away, neither will you. Mentally accept that and then it will make your comeback
much easier! Bonus Tip!
Have fun and enjoy your football! Be excited that you are playing again and not sitting
on the bench injured. Enjoy the process of improving! Ending: Hope you enjoyed this Online Soccer
