DU Men’s Soccer Travels to Compete in the College Cup | University of Denver (2016)

– Felt today is kind of the last real intense
day and we really pride ourselves on our training. We’re process oriented, and for us, champions
are not made on the day of the game. And you know they’re in weeks, months in preparation. So today was the last real intense session
that we needed to get, you know, get across to the guys, and it was our best session of
the year. So we feel great about that. – And not many teams can say “Hey, let’s go
to Houston and win a national championship.” Alright? On two. One, two. – [Soccer Team] Effort. – It’s good to get to Houston earlier than
everyone else, a day earlier. Everyone knows what’s at stake, so we’re excited
and you can kind of feel that on the bus and on the plane today. – Yeah, I think it’s just business as usual. Obviously the stakes are a little bit higher
coming into the College Cup, but we approach it the same way we approached every game this
season and I think that’s what makes us special, is that every game we know we’re gonna bring
our positive, proactive, fighting football. – Remember champions are made not on the day
of the game.
