Barcelona Youth Soccer Team’s Heartwarming Sportsmanship (VIDEO)

YOUNG SOCCER PLAYERS, OR
FOOTBALL PLAYERS, AND BARCELONA CONSOLED SOME OF THEIR
OPPONENTS. THE PLAYERS ON THE BARCELONA TEAM BEAT THE PLAYERS
ON THE TEAM FROM JAPAN. THE TEAM FROM JAPAN DIDN’T TAKE THEIR
LOSS LATELY. HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED. GET READY TO FEEL WARM
AND FUZZY INSIDE.>>I LIKE SO MANY PARTS OF THE
STORY. SECOND OF ALL, THEY ARE UNDER 12. OF COURSE THEY ARE
GOING TO GET EMOTIONAL. THE GOOD-NATURED KIDS OF
BARCELONA, WONDERFUL.>>THEY HAVEN’T LOST THEIR
INNOCENCE YET.>>THE NUMBER I REALLY WANT TO
FOCUS ON IS THE SCORE, IT WAS ONE -NOTHING. IT’S OKAY GUYS,
YOU BARELY LOST.>>IS SOMEBODY GOING TO KEEP IT
REAL?>>WE CAN’T LEAVE ON A GOOD NOTE.>>PLEASE? WE HAVE ALL LOST
BEFORE, THAT IS WHY WINNING IS SO GREAT. THE LAST THING I WANT
IN A LOSS IS SOMEONE GRABBING MY FACE AND TELLING ME HEY, YOU ARE
OKAY. GET OUT OF MY FACE, I JUST FUCKING LOST. GETAWAY FOR ME. LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE.>>I THINK THERE IS A CULTURAL
COMPONENT TO THAT AS WELL. AMERICANS REALLY VALUE THEIR
PERSONAL SPACE. I AGREE WITH THAT. I WOULD NOT WANT SOMEONE
TO TURN MY FACE AFTER I HAVE PUBLICLY LOST.>>IT IS A TOTAL SOCCER THING.>>WE SHOULD ASK JOHN IADAROLA IF
THAT IS WHAT HE DOES.>>CAN YOU IMAGINE A FOOTBALL
PLAYERS DID THAT?>>IT’S ALREADY BAD ENOUGH IF
YOUR PARENTS DO IT.>>JAYAR, YOU ARE TOTALLY WRONG
BECAUSE THIS IS NOT AN AMERICAN STORY. THE ONLY OPTION IS
VICTORY. COME ON AMERICA.>>BUT WOULD IT MAKE YOU
FEEL BETTER? NO. NOTHING GETS ACCOMPLISHED BY
THAT?>>YOU ARE RIGHT. THE BARCELONA
TEAM SHOULD’VE JUST BEEN LIKE FUCK YOU GUYS.>>IT IS A GOOD GESTURE, BUT IT’S
NOT GETTING ANYTHING DONE EXCEPT MAKING YOU LOOK GOOD.>>THEY ARE 12-YEAR-OLDS.>>THEY HAVE BEEN TAUGHT THAT,
WHICH IS A GOOD THING.>>BUT YOU WOULDN’T TEACH THEM
THAT.>>SEE, THAT IS THE ASSUMPTION. IT’S NOT THAT YOU CODDLE THEM OR GLOAT, YOU JUST DON’T DO
ANYTHING. IT’S TOO MUCH.>>WHATEVER YOU DO, DON’T TOUCH
ANYONE.

Why are they laughing at kids who worked hard and almost beat the best youth team in the world – bad form TYT

  2. MrADDERZ says:

I think they were forgetting the fact that those kids are the under 12's team. Of course you wouldn't do be hugging their opponents if they were a bit older but usually they would still do a handshake before and after a game as a sign of respect. This sign of respect reminds you that it is just a game and definitely not something to get angry and disheartened about. I think that is something american football could learn from.

  3. Hector Rey says:

losing 1-0 in soccer is like losing 7-0 in football or 4-0 in basketball

Americans trying to understand a sport that isn't just roided-up idiots headbutting each other.

  9. Anthony Capanas says:

American sportsmanship can learn a lot from these boys. Attitude and character says a lot more of any player than anything else👍😄

  10. Ken Attaway says:

Something to think about…college rugby in Texas…, game over, the players hit the home team's favourite bar and drink the game away…great custom…

  11. Jonathan Seale says:

I love TYT's new "keeping it real department" even though I agree with Cenk more (this time).

  15. ya ya ya I am Lorde says:

No Anna, "Football players as the rest of the WORLD would say" NOT "Football players as EUROPEONS would say". Brasil is south america, they love football more than anywhere in the world. What is with americans and calling every other country europe. Here are all the different nationalities that you refer to as simply europeons. Spain, italy, england, wales, ireland, germany, netherlands, portugal, poland, ukraine, croatia, switzerland, iceland, greece, belgium, austria, sweden, malta, norway, denmark, cyprus, hungary, montenegro, albania, czech republic, bulgaria, romania, finland, serbia, luxembourg, estonia, lithuania, latvia, belarus, macedonia, moldova, bosnia, andorra and a few more. But yea we're all just europeons, you know the cultural differences are hardly noticable; language, food, music, literature, art, architecture, its all just europeon. Geographical ignorance is like the common cold in america.

  16. ruispuuro says:

Americans – european football is propably the hardest game to score at. 1 goal in football = 2-3 goals in any other sport for example ice hockey. 3-0 lead in football = 6-0 lead in hockey. Also it is common to hug the opponent after a football match especially in southern europe where people touch each other alot compared to northern europe. Football players understand that it's just a sport and there are more important things in life – that is called wisdom and perspective on life in europe.

  17. Julianne Mc says:

Japanese people are really hard on their children if they lose.

  18. Greg Forse says:

barely lost? It was a championship game! They lost a FINAL!

  19. NYCFC 4life says:

this sportsmanship is found in every level of soccer. soccer is passionate and emotional

  20. NYCFC 4life says:

the soccer culture is like that, in the major level with 20's and 30's yrs old the players console everybody

  21. Simon Naylor says:

Ha ha ha. Nice kids. Funny commentary.

  22. Warchief TTT says:

some might call it sportmanship but i kind of agree just take it like a man noob kids

  23. tinto nl says:

It's called compassion… And yes, that is always appreciated, even if you just lost!
If you are too hot-headed and can't handle someone touching you…. I guess you would be American.

    Explains a lot really…..

  24. imnotmike says:

That's how Jayar reacts to everything. He's always looking for things to get offended by.

  25. James shirima says:

actual the 1-0 is most hurting one coz at any moment during a 90min u could've change the result! and the nearly misses come to play after the game!

  26. ChocoCatChick says:

    DANG Jayar! Sore loser much?

  27. Omar Little says:

How is grid iron referred to as football? Theres barely any contact with the foot and the ball in the entire game. It should be called what it is handegg rugby. The retardation of 'Murrica baffles me sometimes

  28. Federico Garcia-De Castro says:

You kidding me? American football players spank each other's assess. Try that in soccer.

Even tyt are too American to be non provincial 🙁

  29. Hedgehog4real says:

shit like that happens in football in all age categories. the most normal thing in the world

  30. Kandy Mich says:

wow way to go and dis the kids rather then congratulate them. Their comments a total thumbs down. The kids thumbs up.

  34. almosTalented says:

    nice to see

  35. Ben Otaku says:

    these people are stupid

  36. R Snidder says:

Very disappointed in TYT, all 3 of you. Thought you guys were mature than that, but I forgot you are Americans.

  37. Darrell barron says:

football players in america do that all the time and more lol every few seconds when the whistle blows.i think what the kids did was better

  38. Juan Morell Prats says:

Oh Cenk, I loved your "mildly racist" spaniard impersonation that sounded italian for some reason 😀

  39. Andrew Krukemeyer says:

he doesn't understand, if you lose a cup match it doesn't matter how much you lost by. You take a whole season with hard work, and then you lose by 1, when you're so close, yet so far. The tears just come out. I know that feeling it can be tough taking a lose like that.

  40. VXXYC says:

    this dude knows nothing

  41. ETericET says:

I wanted to comment on the video 'What Could You Have Done If You Had Donald Trump's Dad?' and found out comments are disabled. I have unsubscribed and I want my donation money back.

  42. nightfall says:

Cenk doesn't understand the culture of football. The Japanese team barely losing in a final is precisely why they were so distraught. Hurts more when you almost get there and you don't, than not even being close at all.

  43. amasamadi says:

I dont think you get that the closer the score, the more intense the game is. They were trying to win and they thought they had it. It was a close game and they really wanted to beat the best club soooooo.

  44. HScarlet says:

    Ah. American's smh lol.

They don't get football or Europe, they're just like 'no homo-bro'. They're just passionate and not insecure. Plus it was a Spanish team, facial contact and kisses is their thing.

And most football games are won and lost by a goal, the only time it's three or more, is if the other sides defence turns to shit. And it's not about the score.

They're like those non sports fans who are like 'all they're doing is kicking a ball up and down a field, ha ha ha'.

  45. Andrew says:

The guy OMG these people I'm sorry don't understand football at all they are to wrapped up in making fun of them and not realizing the decency of the boys like they have to understand fc Barcelona is a big club and forgive me if I'm mistaken but the other team was an underdog and worked real hard only to lose and i don't understand why they expect them to be more manly if they are kids and this is just….UGHHHH

  46. Andrew says:

YOUR MENTAL THIS IS A WORLD CLUB YOUTH FINAL HOW IS THIS A JOKE TO YOU!!!!

  47. Andrew says:

I'm gone this is unbearable like they can't accept foreign concept i hope one day football becomes a big sport in the us and btw no hate great vids just arguably dislikable.

what is the name of this boy 0:46 he's so cute

  49. L C says:

    Dreads a sore loser..

  50. dzafri says:

Do you have any idea how it feels to lose a football game 1-0 compared to 3-0 or 10-0?

You feel like you could've done more in that game to at least get the game to 1-1. The feel to lose in low margin games is the worst.

  51. Dyg G says:

thats what happens at the end of games and yeah a win is a win

  52. Peter McLaughlin says:

I completely disagree with the final response of the commentators. I've played for 37 years and fortunately I had coaches that were strict about sportsmanship.Watch a premier league game and you see the players help each other up and shake hands at the end of the game as well. I know they are professional players, but they are an example of what playing sports should be about. Fun and not just money.

  53. Monica Wells says:

The Barcelona team had a genuine reaction to the distraught Japanese team. Because it came from the heart you could see that the Japanese team accepted their consolation. Vey poor read of this cultural encounter by one of the TYT presenters. He obviously has trouble seeing the world through others eyes especially when it comes to sports.

  54. James Connell says:

It was a 1-0 loss in the World Championship final, 2 best clubs at that age in the world. Of course you would be distraught

  55. Yannick Gomes CvBoy says:

you guys are joking because you American dont have that passion for the game and that make me sad

  56. R4 Lion says:

    You gyes are silly

  57. Junior Ruiz says:

thing is the commentator don't know how important soccer is to us and to them.

  58. AlieZ says:

Europe?! You mean what it supposed to be called, you mean what the world call it, except you Americans. You call a sport played with hands (most of the time) "football" Bruuh.

  59. I’m a Panda says:

they really don’t know how it feels like to be a soccer/football player

  60. Lord Kitchener says:

At this age we see as just football, back in Japan people will see as week.

  61. Jack_Ch says:

Jesus Christ, perfect example of why Americans are mostly disliked around the world…. because of piss poor presenters like this.

  62. Josh Wilson says:

They were crying because it was a very important game

  63. 22453234529068 says:

    (MASSIVE hater alert)

I'm Japanese. I love soccer (yes, we call it soccer, too).

    I'm totally with Cenk.

The Japanese kids needs to calm the hell down.

A lot of Japanese people overlook the fact that we absolutely suck at soccer in international standards, and the opponent was friggin' BARCELONA. What did these Japanese kids expect?

That's called life. Suck it up, and move on. Better luck next time.

  69. polygonkilla says:

Jayars reaction is why most around the world look at american as big arrogant dummies.

  70. Jonas Heegaard says:

Haha speaking from experience I would rather lose 11-0 then fight all the way to lose 1-0 because it's the heartbreak that gets you. Honestly we shouldn't have Americans commentating this also it's called football everywhere not just Europe
